Nexagate has developed our best-practised RMiT playbook that aims to provide our clients with the a birds eye view of the compliance requirements, as well as proposed activities and services that can be undertaken to comply to the RMiT Policy based on our 10 years of cybersecurity excellence. We hope that this will help you in prioritising your RMiT roadmap in ensuring secure financial services to your clients.

Bank Negara Malaysia’s Risk Management in Technology (RMiT) policy document came into effect on 1 January 2020, which applies to licensed banks, investment banks, Islamic banks, insurers including professional reinsurers, takaful operators including professional retakaful operators as well as prescribed development financial institutions, approved issuer of electronic money and operators of a designated payment system.

Since then, initiatives has been taken by the relevant parties to start complying to the requirements, putting bits and pieces together to paint the bigger picture. If this includes you, this can prove to be a challenge as resources are scarce, and the activities need to be prioritised based on budget, expertise, and criticality of a specific requirement.
